  2. MANY INQUIRIES have been received regarding the procedure for
  3. ordaining the Novitiate Priests, Novitiate Priestess, Priests,
  4. Novitiate Priestess, and  Exorcists. Here are the normal steps taken
  5. to ordain someone:
  6.  
  7.    The Secretary of the E.G.C. Board is notified by a Bishop of the
  8. intended ordination. When the Secretary OK's the ordination, the
  9. Bishop performs the ordination. The Bishop then informs the Secretary
  10. of the E.G.C. of the date of the  ordination.

  12.    In cases of emergency, a fully ordained Priest (or Priestess) may
  13. ordain a Novitiate Priestess (or Priest) to serve for one Mass only.
  14. This provision allows for properly-sanctioned masses to be held when
  15. one member of the team of celebrants fails to show up for a scheduled
  16. mass. This provision, however, is only used in emergency situations
  17. and is not designed to replace normal ordinations.

  19.    Bishops are selected by the Patriarch and ordained by the
  20. Patriarch.

  34.    A Landed Bishop is assigned a specific area of responsibility. Not
  35. all bishops in the church are Landed Bishops. Some prefer to be
  36. Wandering Bishops. Of course, bishops are exorcists, exorcists are
  37. priests/esses, and priests/esses are deacons.
